Gabor Turucz is a London-based DJ and music producer, born in Serbia with Hungarian roots.  Active since Y2K, he has released numerous tracks on record labels from around the world, regularly changing his monikers. In 2024, he decided to stop hiding behind aliases, embrace his authentic self, and take full responsibility for every beat and melody he creates.

 

In the early years of his musical journey, he helped shape the electronic music scene in his beloved region of northern Serbia. He organised events, performed hundreds of gigs, and appeared on several large stages, including the revered Exit Festival.

 

When he won an Unsigned Dance Artist contest hosted by Hard to Find Records and M8 Magazine from the UK in 2003, he visited the UK for the first time and experienced British club culture firsthand. This life-changing trip to Birmingham blew him away and planted the seed for his decision to move to London. In 2011, when the opportunity arose, he finally made the move.

Winning the talent hunt competition organised by Orbit DJ Retreats in collaboration with Gorgon City in 2022 was a significant milestone in Gabor's life. This achievement gave him the opportunity to spend time in Ibiza and Amsterdam, being mentored by some of the world’s top DJs and music producers, including Doorly (founder of Orbit DJ Retreats), GAWP, Hauswerks, Juliet Fox, J.O.S.H.U.A, as well as experts from Pioneer DJ, Ableton, and many others

 

Today, he has a string of solid releases under his belt and has garnered significant support from industry heavyweights, including Mauro Picotto, Dr. Motte, Gorgon City, and John Digweed.

 

His sets feature warm, percussion-heavy rhythms and beautiful, melancholic melodies. He has carved out a trademark sound that always leaves his audience wanting more.

 

Constantly crafting new tunes, striving to evolve his sound, and seeking new opportunities to share his passion for music, Gabor is stepping further into the limelight with a musical journey spanning over two decades.
